Bahuranga takes traditional figurative weaving into bold, evening territory. Spun from fine pure Bengal cotton in an inky black base with a sharp mustard selvedge, the saree falls into structured, clean pleats that retain their shape through long gatherings. Vibrant woman and peacock narrative panels line the borders in striking fuchsia pink and cobalt blue threads, echoed by dual-tone naksha butis scattered across the dark ground. The anchal culminates in an elaborate, dense spread of traditional women figurines, offering a high-contrast, glamorous interpretation of classic Baluchari heritage.
